Amanda Widemark, Executive Director : Amanda was born in the PNW in Anacortes, WA and raised in the desert of Phoenix, AZ. Looking to move away from the heat and in search of a place to live with a sense of community and greenery, Amanda and her husband, Zachary, are excited to have moved to Willamina along with their two dogs and cat. As a nonprofit and management professional, she has spent time working toward mission-driven successes over the last 10+ years at local animal shelters, conservation centers, schools, and therapy centers. Previously, Amanda was Business Manager at Scraps of Love Arts & Crafts retail store and Development Specialist at the Phoenix Zoo. She obtained her degrees of Master’s in Global Affairs and Management from Thunderbird and Bachelor’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University. She will be responsible for providing leadership to achieve WVCC’s mission, help to uphold our values, and act as a resource to build and support our community.
